What is Food Addiction?
People struggling from the effects of food addiction are unable to stop eating when they want to or need to. Many food addicts suffer reversable physical conditions that are life limiting if left unchanged. More people die from food addiction than all addictions combined.
Food addicts are most likely to suffer from early childhood trauma and its effects are often rooted in dysfunctional, compulsive and addictive behavior to help them cope.
Recovery from this condition require changes in emotional and responsive functioning by developing new responses with support cultivated in new experiences.
Change takes consistent practice and the Genesis Processs combined with abstinence has proven to be an effective alternative to overcoming food addiction.
